Reflecting on my intuitions about the nature of competition (and of creativity and sin) was fruitful for me during my deconversion from compatibalism. For true competition to take place the raw abilities of the competitors have to be relevantly comparable. By that I mean that a significant factor in determining the outcome of the competition has to be the brute exersizing of the competitors' free will.
